About 15 years ago the decision was made to specialize in 4x4s and light commercials. A location in Onehunga was found, and the result was Active 4x4. We are a largely undercover operation with about four thousand square metres of warehouse. Today we sell parts nationwide and offshore from an operating stock of around 400 vehicles.

Most dismantlers in New Zealand operate with mainly imported stock. At Active 4x4, our emphasis is on sourcing stock in New Zealand. Experience has told us that quality and compatability of vehicle parts are key. this means we buy the same models as you drive, focussing on keeping New Zealand new and Japanese imports actively on the road.
